The ILSP 2023 annual activity report is now published.

What a year! The start of 2023 founds us all amazed by the launch of ChatGPT, which was soon followed by the release of GPT-4. The field of open Large Language Models (LLMs) significantly advanced, with numerous new models released, improved training techniques, and increased accessibility for both researchers and developers.

The rapid evolution of open LLMs in 2023 marked a pivotal year for AI research and applications. At ILSP, we embraced these advancements and embarked on the ambitious journey to develop the first open LLM for the Greek language, bringing a North wind of change (aka Meltemi)!
