Sidiropoulos Georgios
George Sidiropoulos received his diploma in Software Engineering direction of Computer Engineering in 2018, graduating with honors. He was then awarded a scholarship for his M.Phil. studies in “Advanced Technologies in Informatics and Computers” of the International Hellenic University (IHU) of Kavala, graduating with honors in 2021. His master’s thesis focused on the application of Reinforcement Learning in Crowd Simulation in Crisis Management, developing his own simulation system using Unity3D. He has been a research associate as early as the beginning of his post-graduate studies, where he continues to work at the IHU and, more recently, at the Athena Research Center in Information. He has an extensive experience in computer vision, social robots (NAO), machine/deep/reinforcement learning and data analysis, as well as development of intelligent algorithms.
