Dimitris Gkoumas holds a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science (2014-2016) from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and a B.Sc. in informatics (2009-2013) from the same university. He was ranked within the upper 5% of the graduated students and during his first year he received the Maria Dimopoulou’ memorial prize from the same university. He has been associated with the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP / ATHENA RC) since 2016. Since then he has worked on several European and national projects as a software engineer. He has publications on the fields of topic modeling, verbal aggression and sentiment analysis. His research interests focus on Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Information Extraction and Language Resource Infrastructures.
