Yannis Vasilakis is currently enrolled in the Masters program of the Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty of Democritus University of Thrace and is a scientific associate of the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) of Athena Research Center where he is mainly involved in chatbots and dialogue systems. His main research interest are comprised of Statistical Digital Signal Processing and Machine Learning on the domain of sound, music and language. He has been a member of various student networks (IEE, EESTEC, DUTh Robotics team) where he was actively contributing to their work. He has also been an avid volunteer. He is a musicophile, where he studied various musical instruments, is currently a Fugue Diploma holder and has played live music over 70 time, for various musical genres.
