Lamprini Malletzidou is a Research Associate at “Athena” R.C. She received her BSc in Physics, her MSc in “Materials Physics and Technology”, and her PhD in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has participated in 13 research programs, studying a variety of materials, such as restorative dentistry materials for personal dosimetry applications, polymers, wood, and nano-composite materials, thermoelectrics, agricultural waste materials for circular economy applications and toxic compounds removal, and archaeometric materials. She is also participating in an Erasmus+ program promoting archaeometric methods to secondary and primary education teachers and students. Her research experience is summarized in materials studies using microscopic, spectroscopic, X-rays, thermoanalytical, and luminescence techniques. Her work focuses on the characterization of artifacts, natural and synthetic bio-materials, pharmaceutics, minerals, thermoelectrics, adhesive systems, polymers, composite materials, and the ageing and dating of artifacts.
