Batsi Eleni

Eleni Batsi is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), holding a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the Department of Philology (specialization in Linguistics). She is also undertaking a Master’s degree in Language Technology at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of NKUA. She is currently involved as a scholar at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) of the Athena Research Center (Athena RC) since June 2024, where she contributes to research on emotion recognition technologies.

Her research interests cover a broad spectrum of topics in natural language processing (NLP), with a primary focus on dialogue systems, large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques. During her master’s program, she engaged with various aspects of NLP, including machine learning, speech recognition, text-to-speech, sentiment analysis, translation, summarization and chatbots development.
