Papaioannou Charilaos

Charilaos Papaioannou is a PhD Candidate at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Research Associate at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) of the Athena Research Center. He holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA and a Master’s Degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He has worked as a Software Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer for over eight years in companies within both the private and public sectors. His research interests focus on Music Information Retrieval and computational musicology. His ongoing dissertation revolves around multicultural representation learning for music using Artificial Intelligence methods. His other interests include integrating underrepresented data, learning from limited examples (few-shot), and multimodal learning.
