Maximos Kaliakatsos Papakostas works as a researcher and a lecturer in the field of Music Informatics, focusing on the combination of mathematical and cognitive models for computational analysis and generation of musical signals. He has a background in Mathematics (BSc), Artificial Intelligence (MSc and PhD), Music and Software Development. He has been teaching courses on a wide range of fields, ranging from pure mathematics to interactive music systems and he is also developing software around music and audio as part of research (e.g. scientific prototypes) and, in collaboration with musicians, for commercial use.
