The HOPE people organised a national infoday seminar in the framework of the
INFRALYMPICS
2000 international exhibition. The exhibition aimed to create and develop collaborations beteen Greek and international companies and businesses, in order for them to mutually exploit the business opportunities arising from the organisation of the Olympic Games in Athens. The HOPE seminar took place on Saturday the 4th of November 2000, at 10:00
am.

Within the framework of HOPE, the Ιnstitute for Language and Speech Processing organised 2 seminars in order to present
"human language technologies" which are being exploited by businesses in specific productive sectors. The seminars took place on the 23rd and 24th
of October 2000 in the ILSP conference room, and were on the subjects of E-business and Tourism respectively.

Between the 15th and the 30th of July 2000, the EUROMAP people were at the 8th ELSNET European Summer School on Language and Speech Communication,
organised by ILSP, in collaboration with the University
of the Aegean and under the auspices of ELSNET,
in Chios.
Participants of the Summer School had the opportunity to acquire information about issues covered by EUROMAP, to take away related dissemination material and to discuss the potential of similar activities and collaborations in their
countries. |
