Βιογραφικά στοιχεία

Ο Ιάσων Δεμοίρος είναι Ερευνητής στο Ινστιτούτο Επεξεργασίας του Λόγου (ΙΕΛ). Εχει αποκτήσει το Δίπλωμα του Ηλεκτρολόγου Μηχανικού από το Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο και το MSc από την Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications στο Παρίσι. Είναι υποψήφιος Διδάκτωρ στον Τομέα Συστημάτων Ελέγχου και Ρομποτικής του ΕΜΠ. Από το 1994 εργάζεται στο Ινστιτούτο Επεξεργασίας  Λόγου στα πλαίσια ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων στον χώρο της Επεξεργασίας Φωνής και Φυσικής Γλώσσας. Διετέλεσε τεχνικός υπεύθυνος των προγραμμάτων HAGIS, SENSUS, ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΑ, ΣΥΝΟΨΗ και μέλος της ομάδας έρευνας και ανάπτυξης των προγραμμάτων CIMWOS, TRANSLEARN, ANENTINUS, AQUARELLE, REVEAL-THIS. Ήταν ο επιστημονικός και τεχνικός υπεύθυνος στα έργο MUSA, eCLASSIFY, συνεργάστηκε στο έργο MUSE ενώ στα έργο eCLASSIFY είχε τη συνολική διαχείριση. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν εμπειρικές και νομοθετικές προσεγγίσεις στην ανάκτηση και εξαγωγή πληροφορίας, έξυπνη επεξεργασία πολυμεσικών δεδομένων, επιφανειακή κατανόηση φυσικής γλώσσας, μηχανική μετάφραση και τεχνητή νοημοσύνη. 'Εχει δημοσιεύσει αποτελέσματα των ερευνητικών του εργασιών σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά και πρακτικά πολλών διεθνών συνεδρίων.
